We sanded the wood back to bare oak and applied a very hardwearing Bona Traffic HD lacquer which is specifically produced for high traffic areas.
We sanded the entire area to remove a layer of oak which is like skin, when you peal a layer off the fresh layer is new and fresh, this is the same concept with oak, we proceeded to fill all gaps, fine sanding then took place which is similar to polishing before applying a primer and two coats of hardwearing Bona Traffic HD
