This finish has a slight green contrast within the face of the board, the brownish green will work well with certain settings. The grain attracts the darker colour showing the natural beauty of grain pattern to remind you that the product is produced by nature.

Time, skill and knowledge has been used to create this beauty, if you have an experienced eye when it comes to wood finishes you can tell this is special, a number of layers have been applied to the oak to produce a beautiful contrast between face and grain.

The quality of the European oak is showing through in this sample combined with a good hard wax oil finish. A deep rich grain is coming through with lovely natural patterns changing board by board.

Oak that is grown in France produces a strait uniform grain where the oak which is grown in Ukraine produces a variation of grain patters, something to think of when choosing your wood flooring. This sample has a hint of pink in it with no natural honey colour which oak naturally produces.

Lava Oak has a number of colours within the wood, the finish is not created for everyone. Oak has such properties that it takes colours and finishes well, the grain has taken a white colour so it shows through the number of dark colours on the face of the wood.

The difference between a thermally treated oak and a non-thermally treated oak is like night and day. This can be clearly seen with this 6 hour smoked sample with a white oil used to complement the natural dark wood.

Another thermally treated wood, with this one we have a 12 hour fumed oak with pure white oil applied to the wood to produce this amazing colour. The variation in fumed wood is amazing, however there is a wide variation in this product due to the treatment.
